The Washington Wizards are one of 5 teams that play in the South East Division and currently play at the Verizon Center which is located in Downtown Washington DC. Founded in 1961 as the Chicago Packers, this franchise became the Washington Bullets in 1974 and then changed their name to the Wizards in 1997. Washington has not had an incredible history in the NBA having won only one title in 1978 by beating the Sonics of Seattle. Their most famous players include Wes Unseld and yes Michael Jordan at the end of his career. Jordan in fact attempted to run the Wizards as team President between 1999 and 2003 however he spent more time playing on the court than running the team. He was then fired in 2003.
